The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Group

Since the launch of Campaign 4, fresh DM the talented storyteller has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a diverse cast of personalities, and a exciting storyline showcasing angels, fiends, and sinister influences increasing in power within the city.

Warning: Revealing details for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

Episode 3 concluded with a huge suspense moment and presented the premier party of characters who will split off from the primary party to undertake their independent quest, distinct from the remaining groups.

This warrior group features Teor (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

Given 13 cast members, it was evident from the outset that having everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

Hence, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, intertwining the characters’ stories before branching into three smaller tables: Fighters, Planners, and Explorers.

Characteristics of the Combat Party

As described by the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who are drawn to a classically intense battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are scarce.

Upon first impression, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might appear unsuited, but the actions of episode 3 show why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the team understands precisely where to head next after a intense first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose demise kicked off the story’s plot—manipulated the foes for his selfish purposes, invading the secret base, assaulting the rogue, and stealing all the powerful objects to sell off.

Casimir then cleared his debts and ran away to a fortified location in the northern region, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to depart the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and closest confidant, wants vengeance.
  • The adventurer is familiar with the northern area and cautions that it is a nasty environment.
  • The warrior and The healer, having resisted his house’s orders to kill the target and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • But, their position as prominent individuals in House Halovar could help the party access places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, The fighter swore a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his rescue and will now accompany him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the rulers that rule the setting for a range of causes, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The healer turned against the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This leaves them few options but to head to the remote area in search of the antagonist.

What’s Next?

From the latest episode’s post-show segment, we discover that the warrior group will be absent the following episode, leaving the rest of the players to round up the Seekers and Schemers tables.

Audiences can anticipate learning which characters will be in which group in the story’s final introductory chapter, released on next week.
